Etymology
From Proto-Indo-Iranian *kšurás (“razor, knife”), from Proto-Indo-European *ksu-ró-s (“razor”), from *ksew- (“to scrape, shave”). Cognate with Ancient Greek ξῠρόν (xurón, “razor”).
