Inherited from Sanskrit कोष्ठ (koṣṭha, “a granary, store-room, a treasure, an inner apartment, hollow in a tree”). Cognate to Urdu کوتھَرِ (kothrī, “a small room, a cabin; a closet”). Doublet of ކޮޓަރި (koṭari), ކޮށާރު (koṣāru), and ކޮށި (koṣi)
