Etymology
From Aramaic שְבַע (šəḇaʿ), from Proto-Semitic *šabʕat-; compare Arabic سَبْع (sabʕ) and Hebrew שֶׁבַע (shéva').
Usage notes
- In some dialects of colloquial Assyrian Neo-Aramaic, the form ܫܲܒ݂ܥܵܐ (šaḇʿā) is often used regardless of gender.
