From Aramaic עֲסַר (ʿăsar), from Proto-Semitic *ʕaśarat-; compare Arabic عَشْر (ʕašr) and Hebrew עֶשֶׂר (éser).
Usage notes
- In some dialects of colloquial Assyrian Neo-Aramaic, the form ܥܸܣܪܵܐ (ˁisrā) is often used regardless of gender.
