   ܦܘܼܫ ܒܫܲܝܢܵܐ، ܒܸܬ ܚܵܙܹܝܢ ܠܘܼܟ݂ ܡܚܵܪ! ― pūš bšaynā, bit ḥāzēn lūḵ mḥār! ― Goodbye! I will see you tomorrow!

   ܗ݇ܘܹܐ ܠܹܗ ܪܵܒܵܐ ܚܸܫܟܵܢܵܐ ܬܲܡܵܐ، ܘܠܹܐ ܝܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܒܸܚܙܵܝܵܐ ܗܸܟ̃ ܡܸܢܕܝܼ. ― wē lēh rābā ḥiškānā tammā, w-lē ìwā biḥzāyā hič mindī. ― It was very dark there, and he could not see anything.

   ܚܙܹܐ ܠܲܢ ܡܵܐ ܝܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܒܪܵܝܵܐ ܓܵܘ ܕܗ̇ܘ ܒܲܝܬܵܐ. ― ḥzē lan mā ìwā brāyā gāw d-awa baytā. ― We saw what was happening in that house.

   ܟܹܐ ܚܵܙܹܝܢ ܠܵܗ̇ ܟܠ ܝܘܿܡ ܓܵܘ ܡܲܟ݂ܬܒ݂ܵܐ. ― kē ḥāzēn lāh kul yōm gāw maḵtḇā. ― I see her every day at the office.

   ܒܸܚܙܵܝܵܐ ܝܘܸܬ ܗ̇ܘ ܝܵܠܵܕ݇ܐ ܟܸܠܝܵܐ ܬܲܡܵܐ ܒܢܲܦ̮ܫܹܗ؟ ― biḥzāyā ìwet awa yālā kilyā tammā bnafšēh? ― Do you see that boy standing over there by himself?
