Cognate to other Jewish Palestinian Aramaic, Jewish Literary Aramaic, Jewish Babylonian Aramaic זִיקָּא (ziqqā), Akkadian 𒋢𒍣𒄣 (KUŠzi-qu /ziqqu/), and Arabic زِقّ (ziqq), all seen as being derived from Aramaic as its source; see also Old Armenian տիկ (tik).
