Etymology

Not present until the late 18th century and borrowed from Mazanderani کوله پر (kūle-par), bearing formerly also the forms گوله پر (gôla par), کوله پر (kôla par), کله پر (kola par), meaning “leafy ball”, referring to the umbels, see گوی (gôy, ball) and پر (par, wing; feather; leaf).
