     شنیدم که وقتی امیری بدین شهر آمده بود، فرموده بود که راه آن پلیدی‌ها و آب‌های پلید از آن باز بندد، چون چنین کردند آب دریا گنده شد، چنانکه نمی‌شایست خوردن، باز فرمود تا همهٔ راه آب‌های چرکین که بود بگشودند، باز آب دریا خوش شد.

     šinīdam ki waqtē amīrē bad-īn šahr āmada būd, farmūda būd ki rāh-i ān palīdī-hā u ān āb-hā-yi palīd az bāz bandad, čōn čunīn kardand āb-i daryā ganda šud, čunānki na-mē-šāyist xwardan, bāz farmūd tā hama-yi rāh-i āb-hā-yi čirkēn bugšudand, bāz āb-i daryā xwaš šud.

     I heard that one time, a prince came to this city and ordered that the passages carrying filth and filthy water should be blocked. When this was done, the water of the Sea [of Galilee] became stinking, to the point that it was impossible to drink. He ordered again that all the passages for the dirty water should be opened, and the Sea's water became clean again.
