      بر دیوار شرقی چون به گوشه رسد که جنوبی است و قبله بر ضلع جنوبی است و پیش دیوار شمالی مسجدی است سرداب که به درجه‌های بسیار فرو باید شدن و آن بیست گز در پانزده باشد و سقف سنگین بر ستون‌های رخام.
      bar dēwār-i šarqī čōn ba gōša rasad ki junūbī ast u qibla bar zil'-i junūbī ast u pēš-i dēwār-i šumālī-yi masjidē ast sardāb ki ba daraja-hā-yi bisyār furō bāyad šudan u ān bēst gaz dar pānzdah bāšad u saqf-i sangēn bar sutūn-hā-yi ruxām.
      On the eastern wall, when one reaches the corner to the south, the qibla is to the southern side, and one is before the northern wall of the mosque, there is a crypt which one must go down by many steps. It is twenty ells by fifteen, and the ceiling of stone is on marble pillars.
