Plural of اَلْأَسْوَار‎ (al-ʔaswār), from اَلْ‎ (al-) + أَسْوَار‎ (ʔaswār), from Middle Persian ʾswbʾl, ʾsp̄wʾl (aswār, “horseman, rider”).
