آراستن

From Middle Persian 𐭠𐭫𐭠𐭮𐭲𐭭𐭩 (ʾlʾstny /⁠ārāstan⁠/), prefixed form of Proto-Iranian *Hraz-, ultimately from Proto-Indo-European *h₃reǵ- (“to straighten”). Cognate with other Persian verbs پیراستن (pirâstan, “to embellish”) and افراختن (afrâxtan, “to hoist”), and distantly to Sanskrit राजति (rājati, “to direct”), Latin regō (“to rule; to steer”).
