    • Exodus 23:24:
      לֹא־תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לֵאלֹהֵיהֶם וְלֹא תָעָבְדֵם וְלֹא תַעֲשֶׂה כְּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶם כִּי הָרֵס תְּהָרְסֵם וְשַׁבֵּר תְּשַׁבֵּר מַצֵּבֹתֵיהֶם׃
      lo-tishtakhavé leiloheihém v'ló ta'avdém v'ló ta'asé k'ma'aseihém ki harés t'har'sém v'shabér t'shabér matzevoteihém:
      Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.[1]
    • Isaiah 49:17:
      מִהֲרוּ בָּנָיִךְ מְהָרְסַיִךְ וּמַחֲרִבַיִךְ מִמֵּךְ יֵצֵאוּ׃
      miharú banáyikh m'har'sáyikh umakhariváyikh mimékh yetzé'u:
