Etymology
From пиллӗк (pillĕk, “five”) + -мӗш (-mĕš, “ordinal suffix”), compare Bulgar [script needed] (biyelim), [script needed] (béş), [script needed] (bélinc), [script needed] (bélinci, “fifth”).[1]
Cognate with Khalaj bêşminci, Turkish beşinci, Uzbek beshinchi, Bashkir бишенсе (bişense) and Yakut бэһис (behis).
