Neologism of the 21st century, free translation of the French déjà vu which is frequently used in the original French. Created in the pattern of αμνησία (amnisía, amnesia) from προ- (pre, before) + μνη-(stem from μνήμη (mnḗmē, memory) + -σία (suffix for abstract nouns).
