κόρση
Ancient Greek
Etymology
Probably from Proto-Indo-European *(s)ker- (“to cut”), the same root of κείρω (keírō, “to cut”) and κορμός (kormós, “trunk”). Perhaps the original meaning of this word was "haircut at the temples".
