Passive perfect participle of καλομαθαίνω (kalomathaíno, “to be spoiled”), an active-only verb. The stem μαθη- (mathi-) from the Ancient Greek μανθάνω (manthánō, “I learn”). From Byzantine Greek καλομαθαίνω (kalomathaínō): καλο- (“good, well”) +‎ μαθαίνω (mathaíno, “to learn”).

1. (negative sense) (used frequently) spoiled

      He was a man accustomed to comfortable life, so, he did not endure the war's hardships.
