There are basically 2 types of defects that could be caused by the mirror and lens.
For Mirrors the one defect that may happen is known as the Spherical Abberation. For details refer to the VIDEO
For Lens the defect is Chromatic Abberation.

  • As we will see, the droplets form very strong converging lenses, and the object (Golden Gate Bridge)is so far away that we call it at "infinity". According to the thin lens formula, this places the image a short distance in front of the raindrops. And, the images are upside down.
