Basic Equations
- P, Power is measured in Watts
- I, Current is represented in Amps
- E, Voltage is measured in Volts
- R, Resistance (and resistance potential) is measured in Ohms Ω
- C, Capacitance amount of stored electric charge
- P=IE ; Power= Current * Voltage
- E=IR ; Voltage= Current * Resistance
Theory
Voltage moves from the negative terminal to the positive terminal, but for application purposes it is viewed as positive to negative.
Ground in DC circuitry
Although it may seem counter intuitive, according to electric voltage theory, the ground on a DC circuit is the negative terminal.
