Law Enforcement

Singapore has two categories for authorities. One is the Singapore Police Force, and the other is customs authority. Requirement for the Singapore Police Force includes a physical test, education, and citizenship. Males need to get a grade of A or B of the physical test, which is known as the Physical Employment Status. Females are exempt from this portion. Both genders need at least 5 credits in General Certificate of Education (GCE) in the "O" level. This is equivalent to a United States's high school diploma with a C average. The last requirement to qualify for a police officer is to be a Singaporean or be a Singapore Permanent Resident. [1]
