Flowers:Blue petals; four upper lobes and a lower, deeply curled lip. The blue, curled stamens are distinctive.
Foliage:Oblong with entire margin
Stem:Square, hairy, erect, from 10 to 100cm.
Life Cycle: Annual
Similar Plants:T. suffrutescens grows farther south, and may not be a separate species. T. brachiatum has shorter stamens that do not extend outside the flower.
