Orestes.

In a sort exiled—willing, and yet loth.

Iphigeneia.

Iphigeneia.

Now wouldst thou tell a thing I fain would know?515

Orestes.

Iphigeneia.

Troy haply know'st thou, famed the wide world through?

Orestes.

Would I did not,—not even seen in dreams!

Iphigeneia.

They say she is no more, by spears o'erthrown.

Orestes.

Iphigeneia.

  1. Or, reading τοῦδ᾽ ἔρα, "joy thou in that."
