WOOD. (Lieutenant, 1812.)
John Wood (a) obtained his commission 23 Sept. 1812. At the commencement of the peace he was serving at the Cape of Good Hope in the Icarus 10, Capt. Thos. Barker Devon. He was afterwards, from 1822 until 1827, employed in the Coast Blockade, with his name on the books of the Severn 50, Ramillies 74, and Hyperion 42, Capts. Wm. M‘Culloch and Wm. Jas. Mingaye. Since the date last mentioned he has been on half-pay.
