DE LISLE. (Lieutenant, 1844.)
Henry De Lisle passed his examination 23 May, 1837; served for some time as Mate, in the Mediterranean, of the Phoenix and Hecla steam-vessels, Capts. John Richardson and John Duffill; obtained his commission 19 July, 1844; was appointed Additional-Lieutenant, soon afterwards, of the Alfred 50, bearing the broad pendant of Commodore John Brett Purvis, on the Brazilian station; and, since 21 Jan. 1845, has been employed in the Pacific, as Lieutenant of the Frolic 16, Capt. Cospatrick Baillie Hamilton.
