Wataru Takeshita
Wataru Takeshita (竹下 亘, Takeshita Wataru, 3 November 1946 – 17 September 2021) was a Japanese politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet from 2000 until his death. He was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party. Takeshita was born in Kakeya, Japan.

Takeshita was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in 2019.[1] He died on 17 September 2021 in Tokyo from the disease at the age of 74.[2]
