Wabasha, Minnesota

Wabasha is a city in Wabasha County, Minnesota, USA. It is also the county seat.[1]The population was 2,559 in 2020.[2] Wabasha is located in southeastern Minnesota on the Mississippi River. Established in 1830, Wabasha is the oldest town in Minnesota.[3] It is also the oldest continuously occupied city in the upper Mississippi River valley.[3] Wabasha is named after chief Wa-pa-shaw of the Sioux Nation.[3]

Wabasha was the setting of the movies Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men.[4]
