Sioux

The Sioux (pronounced "soo") are a Native American tribe. They live in the Midwestern U.S. They have a long history with the European colonists that eventually became the Americans. Today, the Sioux mainly consist of 2 language-based tribes: The Dakota, and the Lakota.
