Sylvia (ballet)
Sylvia is a ballet. It was first performed in Paris in 1876. The dances were designed by Louis Mérante. The music was written by Léo Delibes. The ballet has a mythological setting. One of the best known musical numbers from the ballet is the "Pizzicato".
