Sagarmatha National Park
Sagarmatha National Park is a national park at the eastern part of Nepal. It is named after sagarmatha, which is another name for Mt. Everest. It covers an area of 1,148 km2 (443 sq mi) which is mostly occupied by Mt. Everest. It was established in 1976 and was made World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979.[1]
