Melk

Melk is a city in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. It is the capital of the district of the same name. It is best known as the site of a massive baroque Benedictine monastery named Melk Abbey. The city has a long history, it was first mentioned in the 9th century. Part of the city is a UNESCO world heritage site.
