Mahayana

Mahayana (Sanskrit: महायान, mahāyāna, literally the "Great Vehicle") is one of the three main branches of Buddhism. Mahayana Buddhism initially developed in Gandhara (modern-day Pakistan). Zen is a kind of Mahayana that is influenced by Confucianism.
