Lindau

Lindau (formerly Lindau im Bodensee; German: [ˈlɪndaʊ̯] (audio speaker iconlisten); Swabian: Linde or Lindou/Linda) is a major town and island on the eastern side of Lake Constance (Bodensee) in Bavaria, Germany. It is the capital of the rural district (Landkreis) of Lindau and is near the borders of the Austrian state of Vorarlberg and the Swiss cantons of St. Gallen and Thurgau. As of 31 December 2018, 25,490 people lived there.
