"I Fought the Law" is a 1960 song by The Cricketers and was taken from their album In Style With the Cricketers. It was made popular by Bobby Fuller Four where it made number 9 in Canada and number 11 in the United States and by The Clash where it charted in New Zealand at number 17 in 1988.
