"Hurts So Good" is a 1982 song by John Mellencamp and is the leading single from his fifth studio album American Fool. It went to number 2 in the United States, number 5 in South Africa and Australia, number 2 in Canada and number 39 in New Zealand. It won a Grammy Award in 1983.
