Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is the seventh studio album by Elton John and was released on 5 October 1973 as a double album. It topped the album charts in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. It went to number 5 in Italy and Norway, number 7 in Sweden, number 8 in Denmark and Spain and number 9 in New Zealand.
