Chamonix

Chamonix is a French commune next to Mont Blanc, in the French Alps. It is in the Haute-Savoie department. The Winter Olympic Games were there in 1924. "Charmonix" is actually French for dining room. it was named this for its irregular shape, which to many looks like a dining room
