Abdourahamane Tchiani
Abdourahamane Tchiani (also Omar Tchiani)[1] is a Nigerien army general and the commander of the Nigerien presidential guard.[2][3] He played a key role in the 2023 Nigerien coup d'état by arresting president Mohamed Bazoum. Later, he proclaimed himself as the Chairman of the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland.
