AAR wheel arrangement
AAR wheel arrangement is a system for classifying locomotives used in North America. It is a simplified form of the UIC classification of locomotive axle arrangements.

- A1A-A1A Two bogies or wheel assemblies under the unit. Each bogie has two powered axles and one unpowered axle
- B-B Two bogies or wheel assemblies under the unit. Each bogie has two powered axles
- C-C Two bogies or wheel assemblies under the unit. Each bogie has three powered axles
