The 1973 European Cup Final was a football match. It was held at the Red Star Stadium, Belgrade, on 30 May 1973. Ajax of the Netherlands defeated Juventus of Italy 1–0. A goal from Johnny Rep made Ajax to win.

Notes

A Brazilian expatriate, Altafini had represented his native Brazil at the 1958 World Cup, but in 1961 he changed allegiances to Italy. Notably, he played for Italy at the 1962 World Cup.[1]
