The 1960-61 Austrian Cup was Austria's nationwide football cup competition. FK Austria Wien were the defending champions.

- The game was stopped in the 89th minute after Ortmann had 3 exclusions and an injury and left the field.
- Lustenau declined due to going too far getting there.
- Cancellation in the 88th minute: Valkanover (Feldkirch) scolded the referee and was ruled out - but didn't leave the pitch.
- The SAK was unable as an amateur team,to provide a complete team on a weekday and announced this decision on April 8th, 1961.
- Wacker played with the reserve team because of the championship game against Vienna on June 4, 1961, which was decisive for relegation.
