Zootopia: Hot Pursuit is a trackless dark ride at Shanghai Disneyland. Based on the animated film Zootopia,[1] it opened in December 2023 as the centerpiece of the park's new City of Zootopia land.[2][3][4] It is Disney's first trackless ride in Mainland China,[5][6] and likely considered a model for future Zootopia attractions at other Disney parks.[7]

Aboard one of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde's cruisers, guests will join them on a rookie police car chase around Zootopia's district neighorhoods: Tundra Town, Sahara Square, Rainforest District and Downtown Zootopia while tracking down Gazelle in attempt to save her from Dawn Bellweather, Woolter and Jesse on the day of the anticipated Zootopia day concert. Though the ride's opening was not without incident,[8][9][10] the long-awaited experience received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.[11]

It was nominated in the category of Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project at the 22nd Visual Effects Society Awards.[12]
