Established in 2004, the University of Applied Management (UAM) is a private, state-approved and fee-based university in Bavaria. The headquarters is located in Ismaning. The for-profit university also has campuses in Neumarkt, Berlin, Treuchtlingen, Unna and Accra.[1]
University and study concept
The University of Applied Management (UAM) adopts a semi virtual-study concept, emphasizing contemporary online learning and communication platform. Each semester incorporates three attendance phases spanning approximately eight weeks, with these in-person sessions lasting five days. The purpose of these phases is to facilitate lectures, courses, and examinations.
During virtual phases, students employ multimedia-based tools to acquire the knowledge. The teaching methods employ a blended learning approach, focusing on problem-based learning to enhance overall learning success and problem-solving skills, fostering the practical application of theory.
The University of Applied Management extends its services beyond education, functioning as a corporate university and engaging in partnerships for dual degree programs. Additionally, it provides market-oriented services, including market analysis and monitoring. the curriculum is highly practical, featuring exercises and case studies in examinations to ensure a hands-on learning experience.
Collaboration with enterprises and associations is integral to the university's approach, ensuring the integration of the latest business and market trends into the curriculum. The University of Applied Management is part of a network that includes The Privatuniversity Castle Seeburg and the H:G University of Health and Sports, Technique and Art, both of which also embrace the semi-virtual study approach.[2]

Accreditation
The University of Applied Management has achieved institutional accreditation, marking a significant milestone in its academic recognition. All Bachelor's and Master's degree programs underwent accreditation in alignment with the Bologna Process under the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBBA).
