Stenus melanarius is a species of rove beetle widely spread in Asia and Europe.[1][2] It is a natural predator of the pest, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis.[3][4][5]

Two subspecies are recognized:

  • Stenus melanarius verecundus Sharp, 1874
