The South Division is one of two divisions in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), the other being the North Division. As of 2023, the South Division consists of 14 teams.

Both divisions were formed as a result of the league's national expansion in the 2018–19 season.[1] The most recent realignment occurred in the 2023 season. In that season, two expansion teams were admitted into the league: the Negros Muscovados and Quezon Huskers. In addition, two returning teams in the Bicol Volcanoes and Iloilo United Royals were allocated to the South Division while the Rizal Golden Coolers moved to the North Division.
