Qaleh Rural District (Persian: دهستان قلعه) is in Zagros District of Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Shalah Kosh.[3]

After the 2011 National Census, Bijnavand Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Zagros District, which was divided into two rural districts. The village of Balavah was elevated to the status of a city and made its capital.[3]

At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 1,937 in 577 households. The largest of its 17 villages was Shalah Kosh, with 773 people.[2]
