Pushkar Shivkumar Sharma, an Indian-born Kenyan cricketer[1] and the brand ambassador of IndiaFirst Life Insurance, earned his spot in the Kenya team after scoring 841 runs in 14 innings in the NPCA (Nairobi Province Cricket Association) Super Division League[2]. He made his debut on 17 November 2022 against Saint Helena.[3]

Domestic Career

Pushkar Sharma led Mumbai Under-16 team in 2014-15, where Prithvi Shaw played under his captaincy.[4] Pushkar Sharma also trained alongside Arjun Tendulkar in Mumbai Under-16 probables squad.[5]

International Career

He made his debut opening batting for Kenya in the 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers, sharing the opening partnership with Collins Obuya.[6]

In November 2023, he played his first match in the 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier against Rwanda. He took his debut wicket against Rwanda, claiming 1 wicket for 19 runs in his 4 overs.[7]

In the second match against Nigeria, he took 1 wicket for 15 runs in 3 overs.[8]

In the third match against Tanzania, He showcased an impressive batting performance, scoring an unbeaten 32*runs in just 17 balls.[9]

Early Life

He joined YMCA club in Greater Noida before shifting to Mumbai, where he started playing for Al-Barkaat Malik English School.[10]
