Luke Tagi (born 23 June 1997) is a Fijian rugby union player who plays as a Tighthead prop at Bayonne in the Top 14.[2][3][4]

Club career

Tagi began his career with the amateur team Suva in the Fijian National Championship 3. In 2018, he joined the Fijian Drua, a team competing in the Australian NRC Championship, and played a part in their victorious campaign. He joined the Fijian Latui in the Global Rapid Rugby tournament.[5]

In 2019 he signed a three-season contract for Top 14 side Stade Français, making his debut in a 46–16 loss to Castres. He was released from his contract in June 2021. Shortly after, he joined Provence Rugby in Pro D2 on a two-season contract. In December 2022, it was announced that Tagi would be joining Aviron Bayonnais from the 2023–24 season, signing a contract until 2026.[6]

International career

He played for the Fijian under-20s side in the IRB Junior World rugby Trophy. He also spent time playing in the Fijia Warriors side (Fiji A side).[7]

He made his debut for the national side against Georgia in 2021. He was selected in the squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.[8]
