Kymmendö (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɕʏ̂mːɛnˌdøː])[1] is an island in the south of the Stockholm archipelago. Kymmendö is the model for the fictional island Hemsö in August Strindberg's novel The People of Hemsö.[2]
