Holmwood is a country house in the village of Binfield Heath in Oxfordshire, England.

It is situated on Shiplake Row in the village of Binfield Heath near Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.[1] It was built in the early 18th-century, and was subsequently altered later that century.[1] The house has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since February 1985.[1]

It was owned by Admiral Charles Swinburne in the 19th-century and was the family home of Swinburne's son, the poet Algernon Swinburne.[2] For many years Holmwood was owned by the Makower family.[3] In April 1981 the 'remaining contents' of Holmwood were sold in an auction at the house by John Moritz Makower at Sotheby's.[4] The sale included English furniture, paintings and porcelain.[4] It was owned by the barrister and peer Jonathan Marks, Baron Marks of Henley-on-Thames from 2008 to 2018 and restored by him.[2]
