Hilvan (Kurdish: Curnê Reş,[2] Ottoman Turkish: قره جورون, romanized: Karacurun[3]) is a municipality and district of Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey.[4] Its area is 1,111 km2,[5] and its population is 42,218 (2022).[1] It is 55 km north from the city of Şanlıurfa.
