In 1997, she was accepted to the Beijing Film Academy and shortly afterwards appeared in her first feature film, Jade Goddess of Mercy. Hai returned to the small screen a few years later, appearing in a number of supporting roles, before joining the cast of A Beautiful Daughter-in-law Era.
